New Garmin StreetPilot C500 Range Hits the UK!

Summer 2006 has bought a number of new satnav systems to the UK high street and Garmin also have a new range to offer.

The C500 range builds on the previous C300 range. The entry-level C510 provides all the features you would expect from an entry-level system.

The StreetPilot C530 comes with the new GarminLock technology - PIN protection for your satnav system with an optional FM TMC traffic information module also available to bring the user realtime traffic information, road blocks, accidents etc to help the driver plan their journey better.

The top-of-the-range Garmin StreetPilot C550 has all the benefits of the other two systems but is also compatible with a Bluetooth mobile phone (not supplied) for making hands-free calls and a built-in MP3 player!

Don't forget the current "satnav of choice" for the discerning motorist is the TomTom 910 - buy TomTom 910 UK

Navman iCN750 an iCN720 - navigate by pictures

New from Navman come the Navman iCN720 and the Navman iCN750.

These are not just new satellite navigation units - they are a new way of travelling. Instead of relying on names and addresses, the iCN 720 and iCN 750 can store your favourite locations in the form of pictures!

Both satnav systems come with a built-in 1.3 megapixel digital camera; the top of the range iCN750 system also has a 4GB hard-drive.

The pictures are "geo-tagged" - this means the pictures are linked to a specific location on the map - to navigate to the location simply click on the picture.

Another plus point is the optional T1 Traffic information pack - receive upto date traffic information on your Navman WITHOUT the need to pay an ongoing subscription!!!!
